2020 Ford Escape Legroom

Front Legroom: 42.4 inches
Second Row Legroom: 40.7 inches

Comfortable and roomy, the Ford Escape is a consistent top seller. The Escape got a major overhaul in 2020, which made it roomier, lighter, and faster. In fact, how quick it is might come as a surprise to many. The base engine is a turbocharged 1.5 liter three-cylinder that delivers 181 HP and 190 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can go from 0 to 60 in less than 8 seconds!

2020 Ford Explorer Legroom

Front Legroom: 43 inches
Second Row Legroom: 39 inches

The Ford Explorer was redesigned for 2020 and is equipped with updated safety, comfort, and tech features. The standard models include a 300 HP turbocharged 2.3-liter engine. Want more power? Look for the ST model, which came with a 400 HP V6. One of the big changes in 2020 was to the rear-drive chassis, which is better balanced for a much smoother ride. Other features drivers will appreciate are the standard blind-spot warning system, lots of storage, and type C USB ports.

2020 Buick Enclave Legroom

Front Legroom: 41.2 inches
Second Row Legroom: 38.9 inches
Third Row Legroom: 33.5 inches

This Buick feels luxurious—more so than the $40,000 starting price may imply. From the updated style and features like tri-zone automatic climate control to the leather upholstery and active safety features, such as lane change alert and automatic emergency braking, the Buick Enclave offers impressive features along with its impressive legroom.

2020 Chevrolet Suburban Legroom

Front Legroom: 44.5 inches
Second Row Legroom: 42 inches
Third Row Legroom: 36.7 inches

If you want a powerhouse SUV with room for the entire family and 40+ inches of legroom in the front and second row, the Chevy Suburban is a top pick.  It comes standard with a 5.3-liter V8 with a 6-speed automatic that pushes out 355 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque. If you find a Suburban with the Premier trim level, then you have even more power with a 6.2 liter V8 with a 10-speed automatic transmission that delivers 420 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque.

2020 Hyundai Palisade

Front Legroom: 44.1 inches
Second Row Legroom: 42.4 inches
Third Row Legroom: 31.4 inches

This is the largest three-row SUV from the Korean maker, and it offers generous legroom. Even the 31.4 inches of legroom in the third row is a step up from the restricted feeling of the third row in the Hyundai Santa Fe XL, which the Palisade replaced. An incredibly smooth ride, comfortable seats, high-end interior touches, and a suite of advanced safety features will make you forget that you’re not driving a luxury SUV.

2020 GMC Acadia

Front Legroom: 41 inches
Second Row Legroom: 39.7 inches
Third Row Legroom: 29.7 inches

This mid-size SUV offers seating for up to 7, and the 193 HP, 2.5-liter engine is standard. If you want more power, a 310 HP, 3.6-liter V6 is available. You’ll have your choice of front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The 2020 didn’t get a major overhaul, but a few interesting updates were made. A restyled grille gives the Acadia a fresh look. Drivers will find more storage in the new center console along with an improved entertainment system, featuring voice recognition.

2020 Nissan Pathfinder

Front Legroom: 42.2 inches
Second Row Legroom: 41.7 inches

Comfort, safety, and reliability all come standard on the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder, and there are many reasons to choose this SUV that go beyond the impressive legroom.
